Ric is an self-taught artist, displaying his form of expression through different types of mediums.. When growing up, he used painting and drawing to relax and escape. Ric finds the freedom of expression through paint as relaxing and rewarding.

Ric is the product of a diverse culture from California. He grew up around a wealth of art, ethnic and other cultural resources. This cultural diversity exposed him to many different ways of expression.

Ric's corporate bank job relocated him to Phoenix, Arizona. Ric climbed the corporate ladder before being laid off. The lay off allowed him to do what he really wanted to do, PAINT! Ric gained the support of his artist friends, receiving encouragement to explore his painting techniques. The lay off turned out to be a positive life changing event.

It is in what is transformed into and how it is accomplished that the mystery of painting occurs..
